The 1972 model underwent a three-year restoration led by the Polo Storico and was displayed in Rome during an event dedicated to classic cars, in the year the Miura celebrates its 60th anniversary.
Lamborghini presented at the Anantara Concorso Roma a 1972 Miura SV restored and certified by the Polo Storico, the brand’s division dedicated to preserving historic vehicles. The car was shown to the public after a restoration process that lasted about three years and included documentary research to return the model to its original configuration.

According to the manufacturer, the vehicle arrived in Sant’Agata Bolognese at the end of 2023 outside factory specifications, which required meticulous reconstruction work.
Among the interventions carried out were the correction of external elements, the restoration of the central locking hubs, the installation of the correct exhaust tips, and the revision of several internal components, such as the steering wheel, the handbrake lever, and the preparation of the air conditioning system.

The paintwork also received special attention, with the restoration of the “Luci del Bosco” color, combined with an interior in “Senape”.
Lamborghini’s participation in the event also included three other historic models brought by their owners: a Miura P400 from 1968 and two 1989 Countach 25th Anniversary models. Among them, the Miura P400 known for appearing in the opening scene of the 1969 film The Italian Job stood out.
According to the brand, this example was restored and certified by the Polo Storico in 2019, when its identity was confirmed after years of uncertainty.

In the competition, this cinema-linked Miura won first place in its class and also received a special award dedicated to vehicles with a strong connection to the film world.
For Lamborghini, the results reinforce the historical value of the Miura, presented by the brand as the first supercar in history and which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026.
